Nenne Design

Today I finished a little stitching piece, designed by Nenne Design, a Dutch designer. She does wonderful little cards, and one of them is called 'Varkentje' (little pig).

Stitching it wasn't that hard, I finished it really quick, it took only a car's ride to the other side of our country (the Netherlands). We drove from the northeastern part to the southwestern part to visit my uncle. My husband was driving the car, so all I had to do was to relax and stitch.

But after stitching came the hardest part : finishing the card. Following the design you cut your own card out of a piece of board, but, being a stitcher doesn't mean I can also make cards....

So finally I decided to use a card I bought, and just glue it inside. This is the result, and I am very pleased with it :)

Birthday exchange

Last week it was my birthday and, perfectly in time, there was a package from Jacqueline. She made me a wonderful hang-up, Caffee Latte. So perfectly made, that my youngest daughter was in doubt if it was really hand-made!

Together with a magazine (Cross Stitcher) it was the perfect gift. I felt spoiled, knowing somebody had taken the effort doing this for me!

Holiday

Today me and my family returned from a week's holiday in Germany. We had a great week, the weather was marvellous, it looked like summer! I have been able to stitch quite some hours, as I rose early in the morning. I started the day with an activity like walking or cycling (in the hills!) and after that I could sit down to take a rest and do some stitching.

In the evening I have been stitching at my HAED Celtic Butterfly, and this is the result until now.

During daytime I was working on a biscornu. I finished one of them, and another one almost. Of the latest I can't show a picture, as it is meant to sent in an exchange, but this is the other one. It is a monochrome biscornu, designed by M.A. Rethoret-Melin. I stitched it on cloud-brown aïda with Gloriana, color Topiary.
