After the congress my summer vacation started. So besides doing some painting on the house I was able to finish another shawl. A very different one, simple and plain and serene. The pattern is referring to cobble stones and pathways. Mein Berlin.

Sarie and serenity
Just before the end of the school year I was on an international congress about school libraries. It was inspiring to meet school librarians and teacher librarians from all over the world. There also was a gala dinner, the opportunity to wear My Sarie Marais. I chose to wear a little black dress and my shawl. For those of you who don't know me, or don't recognize a hand knitted shawl, I'm the one in the middle ;-)

Very, very nice - of course! So painting the house this vacation? What else are you doing? Did K come home or is she working during the summer holiday? We have done a lot of camping in our caravan and having a wonderful time. In two weeks we will take all 5 grandchildren for a camping week-end. Now a 14 year tradition.
