Hand dyed by me!

From Thursday till Sunday I was staying with a friend to visit a wool festival. I followed a class on dying and I love the result.
Of course I bought some lace yarn too. This is a hand dyed lace yarn by Loret Karman. I love her yarn! this is meant to knit another Kieran Foley pattern, Yak.
But only after I finish My Sarie Marais. Which is halfway now!

Whitsun and Sarie

Enjoying the extra vacation at Wjhitsun I went for a trip to Amsterdam. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures from our trip to Amsterdam. I went there with some friends, met through Facebook. We all share the love for yarn and we visited some LYS's at Amsterdam. It was fun, really fun. Some of us met before, but some of us didn't. But at the end of the day it was like we knew each other for years. Sounds familiar?

I also took some more time to knit. So My Sarie Marais grew a little bit more. Yesterday was a sunny day, I took pictures on the grass. And today it was a dark, cloudy day. Yet I was able to knit in the garden and take some pictures outside.

Birthday flowers and Sarie Marais

The Sari I am knitting is demanding, but so much fun! I have done some more repeats and just show some pictures. I think that's enough, it doens't need any words.
Last Friday was my birthday. I got some lovely flowers fot my little city garden. And some money to buy yarn!

My goodness!

My goodness, where did April go? I just realized I didn't post a word since March. April went by and although my mind was set on study and work, I also have been knitting. Knitting is, in a way, surviving.
I finished my cardigan. I can wear it, but I am not quite satisfied with it. The yarn is stretchy, so the sleeves are getting longer and longer. I don't know whether it is because I used a double thread or it is just the wool itself. Perhaps, in a later state, I rip the whole thing and knit it again. But for now, here it is:
I also started some new things. A beautiful project named Sari, designed by Kieran Foley. Fun to knit, but certainly not a no brainer!
I also starte to knit Daisy, designed by Kieran Foley too.

To add balance to my knitting, I casted on a simpler one, Mein Berlin. The design is Prague Pathway  by Erika Flory.
Talking about Berlin, we were there last week, spending our vacation. I really love that city! Want to see some pictures? Here they come! And yes, the cherry blossom trees and rapeseed, that is also Berlin!
